Chapter 3
Bringing a new watch to life.
For a watchmaker, the late assembly stages of a timepiece are particularly fulfilling. After the many hours of detailed precision work devoted to movement assembly, it is during these later steps that the watch begins to take its final form, the reward for all of the preceding labor. These final steps show the installation of the movement into the case, the mounting of the winding rotor, the fitting of the case back and its gasket, the attachment of the dial, the staking of the hands, the attachment of the crown, the fitting of the bezel, and finally the attachment of the bracelet. Coming to life is the new Blancpain Villeret Quantième Perpétuel.
